The Central Otago region is regarded as one of the most spectacular settings in the world for the many vineyards and wineries, framed by rugged mountains and deep river gorges. The region is celebrated for its pinot noir and pinot gris and produces many world class wines.

The locality on the 45th parallel is proving a prime pinot noir growing spot for Pisa Range Estate producing many trophy winning wines. Felton Road's philosophy is to let the fruit speak for itself: gentle handling and as little intervention as possible has produced some delightful Rieslings and unoaked Chardonnays. With vineyards across the Central Otago region, Valli produces two pinot noirs with the aim to produce single vineyard premium pinot noirs to highlight the differences in Otago's sub-regions.
